How do you put together an outfit?
“Strangely, it’s very hard to put into words, I don’t have a typical routine. I always trust my wardrobe basics, the garments that I’ve built and nourished. And with ‘basics’ I don’t mean simple t-shirts, jerseys and denims – but the items that appeal to my needs. I avoid the dreaded, I don’t have anything to wear, scenario by making sure I have my closet stocked with key items and nothing is missing. My tip is to take a look at your closet and make sure you’ve got your version of a perfect pair of jeans and that amazing, to-die-for jacket that you’ll only wear on special occasions. Those are just as important! You also need jewelry, two sets of earrings at least. Everyday heels are a must- just do it! It’s a wonderful feeling to put in a little extra effort when getting dressed even if it’s just a Monday. Analyze your wardrobe, check off your list of basics and buy whatever necessities are missing. Keep away from everything else, it will only take up closet space.”

If you had to wear one outfit for the rest of your life – what would it be?
“A thin black turtleneck and a pair of black jeans. A turtleneck is iconic yet modern and timeless. A woman who wears a turtleneck always looks sophisticated and intriguing, it’s so chic.”
You are the creative director of Sweden’s best fashion magazine and an international style icon with your own fashion brand. Your stylish life seems perfect. Give us the honest version, please.
“Sorry to disappoint, but I’m not the kind of person who changes into something more comfortable as soon as I get home. I like to look nice and feel comfortable in my everyday style, that’s how I keep my inspiration flowing. I don’t dress a certain way for others. Though I don’t think people know how much I work– I don’t even think you do! I dream of doing what I love without it taking up too many hours of my day. But I still love my morning coffee and I hate big roads. I’m hoping to have a steam room installed in my bathroom soon and I have decided to stop being so superstitious. I’m terrified of jinxing and I’ve decided to have the courage to believe in my goals.”
